40 cm tall Carmona macrophylla bonsai
Carmona macrophylla bent stem bonsai in a green glazed oval pot. Carmona macrophylla is native to Southeast Asia and southern China. It is a very decorative plant with dark green, bright, oval, pear-shaped leaves. Trunk light brown, almost smooth with smaller bumps. From its tiny white flowers develop green berries that turn red.
A warm and light-requiring plant, it needs a minimum of 10-15 ̊C. It does not tolerate dry air so well, it prefers a humid environment. Keep your soil moist at all times, but keep it from over-watering, especially in winter. The shoots are allowed to grow to 6-8 pairs of leaves and then pruned back. We can wire at any time of the year. In summer, it can be exposed to a place with half-shade or filtered light. Keep it around 12-15 ̊C in winter because carmona needs a period of rest.
Transplant the trees every two years into Akadama + peat mixture or Frux bonsai soil. We recommend Biogold or BonsaiMaster for nutrient replenishment.
