Podocarpus macrophylla - Yew plum pine bonsai
It is native in Japan and southern China. It has a hard-shelled, fleshy kernel and yew-like foliage. Both outdoors and indoors you can keep your bonsai in the shade, but you can also enjoy it in a sunny place. Always keep the soil moist. On hot summer days, you can spray it with water, in the summertime you can put it outside in a shaded area.
Extremely easy to wiring. The new shoots can be pinched back by hand to achieve the correct shape. Propagation can be done by cuttings.
Transfer it every two years to AKADAMA or Bonsai soil mixture. Nutrient replacement can be achieved with BIOGOLD, ABRACAS or BONSAI MASTER.
