Cedrus deodara raw material:
Cedrus deodara is a repeatedly trained bonsai raw material, commonly known as Himalayan cedar. The light green needles of the tree have a slightly golden tone, and the oils in the bark give off a characteristic aromatic scent. If the trees are grown in full sun, the needles are light green, but if the trees are grown in partial shade, the leaves take on a darker, more natural shade of blue. Ideally, trees should be grown where they enjoy both morning sun and afternoon shade, especially in the heat of late spring and summer. Plants require only a moderate amount of water in warm weather and only a small amount of water in the colder months. Let the soil dry out before each watering. Excessive moisture can cause discolouration of needles, dead leaves and root rot.
