It has been regularly trained as a bonsai material for many years. Its current height measured from the nebari is ~25 cm. At this size, it is primarily suitable for further training in the so-called kifu size category, but the tree may also have a future in the shohin size category. Since bonsai enthusiasts often like to use deadwood techniques with Olive Trees, we have left it with enough room to develop for this. With a few years of pruning, wiring and some deadwood shaping, we can create a fantastic bonsai for ourselves - whoever does this will be the one who gets the glory!
We have been taking care of it in our garden for a few years now, the tree has a strong and established root system and is in good condition thanks to regular fertilizer supply.
