It does not require special treatment compared to other pine bonsai - it is easy to maintain. It is worth paying attention to the fact that only the younger branches should be wired and that too carefully - even before the cork is formed. This tree is truly unique and impressive in its appearance. The strong bark gives an old effect even to younger trees.
