Bunjin style Pinus sylvestris bonsai:

Bunjin-style Pinus sylvestris bonsai. The visibly aged bark of the plant grown from yamadori and the minimally appearing so-called deadwood details make the otherwise exciting and lively trunk really lovable. The branches come out on the playful curves of the trunk, which is continuously narrowing upwards, stop at the top of the canopy with a so-called flattering closure and "bend" towards the viewer, recalling the classic Japanese bonsai aesthetics. The lower branches fall well below the rim of the bonsai bowl and are closed in the traditional sash-eda form - or mark the height of the tree according to the bunjin style - thus emphasizing the relatively new "literary" concept referring to natural images. The relationship of the lower branches to the trunk also makes a strong reference to the appearance of the trees living on the mountainside - which is interesting because in this way the shaping of this tree also forms a boundary (in addition to the bunjin) to the shakan and han-kengai styles.

The height of the bonsai is measured between the lower branch and the top of the canopy: 55 - 60 cm
