Bunjin style Pinus thunbergii bonsai - Kuromatsu:

An aged Japanese black pine with a beautiful and rustic bark, which has long been cultivated in bunjin bonsai style. Thanks to the rich and aged branch system, it retains its compact overall appearance even after rebuilding. The bonsai is 78 cm tall from the rim of the round nanban bunjin bowl. The tree has been withdrawn for years, not featured anywhere since the 2011 Noelanders Trophy International Bonsai Exhibition. During this time, he underwent intensive rearing - which made his slightly elongated branches ripe for re-shaping. In 2019, he went through wiring and full customization and re-introduced himself to the audience.
