Cracked glazed Tokoname bonsai pot 37 x 33,5 x 10 cm:
Handmade six foot oval bonsai pot from Japan. The surface of the bowl, made of light, whitish clay, is covered with a transparent cracked glaze. Under the glaze, a hand-painted scene can be seen on the main side of the pot, depicting a man in a straw hat sitting in a boat. The not exactly typical but all the more unique Tokoname pot features not only pictorial representation but also punctuation marks - which greatly contribute to the cultural aura of Japanese bonsai pot aesthetics in a good sense.
We heartily recommend the bowl for bonsai, but it can also be an outstanding collector's item in bonsai pot collections.
