Ficus species- Ficus
The small leafed ficus species and varieties are very popular indoor bonsais. They can also be stored near a window in a less sunny room. If possible, put it outdoors in summer to achieve a smoother and more powerful shoot growth. Do not place in drafts and protect from cold. It does not tolerate the too irrigation, but don't dry out completely it.
Pruning: cut the shoots of the 6-8 leaves even so that two leaves remain. The new shoot will grow towards the top leaf.
Transplanting: Every one or two years need to repotting to akadama or bonsai soil mix. It can be transplanted at any time of the year, but it is advisable in spring. Cutted shoots are well rooted as cuttings.
