Carmona macrophylla - Fukien tea tree bonsai:
Carmona macrophylla is native to Southeast Asia and southern China. Ornamental plant: with dark green, bright, oval, pear-shaped leaves - the two species differ in leaf size, microphylla is smaller and macrophylla is larger. The edges of the leaves are intact, with two small incisions at the apex. The back is lighter. Trunk light brown, almost smooth with smaller bumps. From its tiny white flowers develop green berries that turn red.
In a warm and light-requiring plant, it needs a minimum of 10 ̊C. Keep your soil moist at all times, but keep it from over-watering, especially in winter. The shoots are allowed to grow to 6-8 pairs of leaves and then pruned back. We can wire it at any time. In summer we can expose it to a place in the shade. Keep it around 15 ̊C in winter.
Transplant the trees every two years to Akadama or bonsai soil mixture. We recommend BIOGOLD or OSMOCOTE for nutrient replenishment.
