Juniperus chinensis, commonly known as Chinese juniper bonsai in a plastic training pot. It cannot be called a typical raw material, because it is almost already shaped, it is still waiting to be placed in an elegant ceramic pot and awaiting a minor aesthetic adjustment. The Chinese juniper is one of the most sought-after junipers in the bonsai world, among other things because of its soft foliage. It likes stony, well-drained soils, so Kiryuzuna or Pumice (pumice) is the most optimal for it, or Akadama or this triple mixture. The foliage is needle-like on young trees and scale-like on older trees. Its fruit is a small, hard, bluish berry, which is recommended to be removed due to energy consumption. It is best to do the wire during the season or in early winter, so that the branches can get used to their new position while the tree is in a state of rest. Transplanting is best done in spring. If necessary, the juniper can also be transplanted in late summer or early autumn, as this is when it enters the period of renewal of root growth.
Juniper prefers slightly dry soil, but it should not be left dry for a long time. It is best to water the plant sparingly, ensuring adequate drainage, then allow the soil to dry out before watering again.
Pines and other conifers grow together with a symbiotic fungus (or fungus) that grows on the root ball of the tree. If this fungus is not present or if we damage it, the tree may die.
