Pinus sylvestris in bunjin style planted in handcrafted bonsai pot. Pinus needs a lot of sunlight during the spring, summer and fall seasons. If there is not enough light, the tree develops elongated needles and branches exposed to shade die. The tree is hardy in winter, but frosty winds can be a danger, as its roots can freeze in extreme cold. When watering, we need to make sure the soil is moist but not too wet. Under no circumstances should the plant be allowed to dry out completely. Regular spraying is highly beneficial to the plant. Pruning pine bonsai trees is a slower process and a patient undertaking. Pruning of the branch or severe should be done in the fall to minimize moisture loss. Wound healing can close all wounds. The pine should be transplanted into soil that is highly permeable to water. The roots should not be washed and some of the old soil should be transferred to the new soil because it contains mycorrhizae. Mycorrhizae are fungi that are a product used to maintain the health of a plant. Pinus bonsai, while beautiful, are not for beginners. Trees are a big challenge and novice bonsai enthusiasts should first and foremost gain experience with other tree species.
