Buxus harlandii - Hong Kong boxwood
A slow-growing, half-dwarf species (it grows to a bush of approx. 1 meter without pruning). Its evergreen, dense foliage is made up of shiny, small, narrow leaves. Its creamy yellow flowers are fragrant and bloom in early spring.
It is easy to shape, withstands pruning perfectly and creates a special atmosphere with its scent. It likes a sunny or semi-shaded place, but free of hot sun. Pay attention to the adequate water content of the soil and to uniform irrigation. Do not let it dry out. When kept as a bonsai, Buxus harlandii requires thorough protection in the winter - be sure to put it in a frost-free place for the winter!
Transplant every two years. We recommend AKADAMA as a planting medium. Use BIOGOLD to replenish nutrients.
