Tillandsia cacticola: The name means living on a cactus. Its natural habitat is the northern part of Peru, which has a fairly dry climate. There it grows on cacti, shrubs, and acacia trees. It is characteristic of the basic species that an adult plant is 25 cm wide and 15 cm high and stemless. But there is already a long-stemmed, bright or thin-leafed, green or gray clone. It grows a long flower stalk, at the end of which are the branching pink spikes. The flowers open one by one, white with purple petal tips. It is an easy-to-keep species, likes a lot of sunlight, heat and tolerates drought well, overwinters well in the apartment.
