Tillandsia funckiana: This species of Tillandsia, reminiscent of a pine branch, is native to Venezuela. It settles in its natural habitat, on rock walls. The plant grows to 15-20 centimeters. The leaves are thin, short, densely growing and green. Compared to the plant, the flower is rather large, bright red in color and opens one by one at the apex of the shoot. It blooms for a short time. Prior to flowering, the leaves at the end of the shoot apex turn red. The minimum heat requirement is 15 degrees Celsius. Several types are known, these are distinguished by the position and color of the leaves.
