Tillandsia latifolia var. latifolia: Native to Ecuador and Peru, growing in sand, mainly in coastal sand deserts. The adult plant has a diameter of approximately 10 to 12 centimeters and a height of 15 to 20 centimeters. Vivipara offspring is common, meaning it raises its offspring on the flower stalk. The leaves are densely scaly and pale green. The inflorescence is complex and reddish pink, the flowers are dark pink. Keep it in the garden in summer so that it is exposed to sunlight all day. In winter, it can withstand 5-10 ⁰C degrees when kept dry.
