Tillandsia 'Dick Rutan' is the honest name for this hybrid, and its parents are T. aeranthos and T. ixioides. Medium-sized plant with greyish-green, hard, succulent leaves. The inflorescences are curved and pink, the flowers are pale bluish-purple. It is safer to bloom if you get a slight cold effect, which is 5-10 degrees Celsius for a few weeks.
