Tillandsia juncea: Its natural habitat is quite extensive, extending from Mexico to Bolivia. It has an epiphytic lifestyle, but sometimes settles on the ground. The leaves are long, thin, green and grassy. The flower stems long, the bracts are red, the cover leaves are pale pink and the flowers are tubular and purple. The overall effect is very nice at flowering. Of course, this is true if the lighting conditions are right. In summer, this is no problem, especially if we keep it in the garden, we need to provide proper shading. However, in the winter, it is worthwhile to use additional lighting if we want our plants to have a beautiful color. In winter, we still need to make sure we don't over-water and have time for the plant to dry. Therefore, it is advisable to water on sunny winter mornings. In winter, the room temperature is sufficient to maintain it. A favorite plant can be found in almost all collections.
