Tillandsia scapopsa: It's a popular plant, which origins from Mexico to Nicaragua, where it lives between 450- 1700 m height. The leaves are soft, dark green, covered with grey scales. Before the flowering the leaves turn into red. The flowers themselves grow on a short small stalk and are purple in color. It is an easily reproducing (growing shoots), fast growing species. Over time, the cultivated shoots form a clump in which the plants often arrange into an almost regular spherical shape. Its care is the same as the care of Tillandsia ionantha.
